The Green Campus Initiative is a responsibility study that involves the Coordination Board consisting of academic and administrative staff and the student communities, which was initiated in 2019 under the leadership of the Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Çiçek. The Coordination Board consists of academic staff working on the subjects of sustainability and environmental-friendly products, structures and campuses for a long time, and representative administrative staff from administrative units responsible for the sustainability efforts in question. The Coordination Board conducts studies in communication with the student and student communities that carry out sustainability studies. The Board is responsible for carrying out all technical and social activities in accordance with the determined strategic goals, taking measures, evaluating the results and ensuring inter-unit coordination. The sustainability activities are controlled by the Green Office, Energy and Environment teams established within the Green Campus Coordination Board.
