Mission
The mission of the Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Sustainable Green Campus Coordination Office is to lead the University’s sustainable transformation in the areas of climate change mitigation and adaptation, conservation of natural resources and biodiversity, energy and water efficiency, sustainable transportation, circular economy, and waste management.
In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and national and international sustainability targets, we aim to integrate education, research, practice, and societal contribution; transform our campus into a living laboratory where sustainable solutions are developed and implemented; and strengthen a culture of sustainability through the active participation of our students and staff.
Vision
Our vision is to become a leading sustainable university that develops science-based solutions to the climate and environmental challenges facing Muğla and the Mediterranean Basin, implements these solutions on its campus, and shares them with society.
Starting from Muğla, we aim to develop a university model that connects local experience with national and international collaborations, engages students, researchers, and stakeholders as active contributors to solutions, and serves as an example for a more resilient, nature-positive, and sustainable future through successful practices developed and implemented on campus.
