Mission

The Sustainable Green Campus Coordinatorship of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University operates to ensure ecological sustainability in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, National Biodiversity Targets, and the goals of the Green Consensus, as well as the Presidency’s National Sustainable Development Goals. It engages in areas such as environmental protection, combating climate change, energy efficiency, environmental management, making transportation and infrastructure systems eco-friendly, conserving natural resources, preventing waste, and effective waste management. The coordinatorship is dedicated to fostering a nature-sensitive campus by raising awareness of ecological sustainability through academic research, awareness seminars, and applied projects.

Vision

With a vision of an environmentally friendly campus intertwined with nature, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University successfully implements a variety of practices under its sustainable green campus policy, including energy efficiency, effective use of water resources, zero-waste projects, and the conservation of natural resources. The university aims to act as a pioneer in addressing regional challenges by developing sustainable solutions and leading in the fields of energy, environment, infrastructure, natural resource utilization, waste management, and sustainability. Our vision is to take on a leading role as a hub for innovation and expertise in these areas, both nationally and internationally.
