A Joint Step Toward a Sustainable Future: A Comprehensive Event in Collaboration with Bahçeşehir College

On May 6, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Sustainable Green Campus Coordination Office and the Sustainable Student Community organized a comprehensive event in collaboration with Bahçeşehir College, bringing together the themes of sustainability, renewable energy, and social solidarity.
Within the scope of the event, the Bahçeşehir College family was thanked for their valuable support for the ongoing “Bridge of Sharing” project.
During the program, Prof. Dr. Murat Yabanlı delivered an informative presentation on the maritime museum and maritime culture. Participants had the opportunity to gain insight into the importance of preserving maritime heritage for a sustainable future.

In addition, Associate Professor Dr. Ali Şentürk provided information about solar panel technologies and renewable energy systems. Furthermore, the National Technology Workshop area was introduced, and students were informed about technology production, sustainability, and the national technology vision.

In the final part of the program, the Campus Garden, which contributes to sustainable production and environmental awareness activities on campus, was introduced. In this section, Research Assistant Naz Fulya Çıbık informed participants about the garden activities and helped raise awareness about sustainable living practices.

Thanks to the event, students’ knowledge and awareness regarding environmental consciousness, sustainability, and renewable energy were enhanced, while they also had the opportunity to come together with experts from different disciplines.
