Seed Ball Workshop Planted Hope for Nature

The “Seed Ball Workshop” was held on March 10, 2026, through the collaboration of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Sustainable Green Campus Coordination Office and Muğla Science and Art Center (BİLSEM).
Within the scope of the event, participants were first introduced to the seed ball method, followed by a hands-on session. During the workshop, students prepared seed balls using soil, clay, and local plant seeds.
This method aims to support the natural germination of seeds in suitable environmental conditions and contribute to biodiversity. The workshop also aimed to raise students’ awareness of environmental responsibility and sustainability.
The workshop was conducted under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sena Akçer Ön and Research Assistant Naz Fulya Çibik, with contributions from Lecturer Ayla Çetinkaya and Lecturer İlknur Alpak.
